I have been contemplating the next book, of course. I have considered going back to an unfinished novel. I have also considered novelizing the experiences I have had in the last couple years. I have outlines, etc... My fear is that the people who want me silenced, who sent their fucking agents out to tell me to write children s' books for awhile, and just write the other books in my head and then never, ever, write them down on paper... will just take this as an act or war, or a sell out to my friends who took radical action during this time of transition from the neo con craziness to a liberal love of the rule of law. What a bunch of shit. I will not allow anyone, on any side, to tell me that the american people are too stupid to deal with the truth of the world, and only their small government cabal can understand the world enough to act in our names.
Fuck no. They cannot act in my name, as an american citizen, without my participation. The only way they choose to allow me to participate is through my writing. This is my battlefield and I do not retreat. This is a balls on attack. They can do what they want to shut up my radicalism -- they will just learn the lesson of the owner who hits his dog one too many times and gets their fucking head ripped off.
I have done my best to try to decipher who came after me, and why. I explore the thought a lot in reflection, and try to find room for my experiences in the realities I have been fed by the powers that be, and they do not fit. An entirely new paradigm is needed with which to judge the government, and particularly the intelligence community, when they are spying on LITERALLY MILLIONS OF THEIR OWN CITIZENs (and that is not a figure pulled out of my ass -- look it up, homeland security is adding 20k people every two weeks at this point... Bush is trying to connect the dots he talked about in his last press conference, which aired today... these dots are you. And you. you. your brother and sister. Your professors.
My life is now a lesson in how to get the government on your ass, how sleazy they are, and what a fuck head George Bush is. I heard his brother saying he is going to run for senator... my God, the fucked up heads in that family, and the ego they carry around really is historic -- the man stole an election, which is not something a poltician gets forgiven for. They are done. Period. I will forgive them, as is my personal philosophy, but that does not mean they will not repeat their behavior -- and when they do, I will be less forgiving. Then I will just get deadly with my rhetoric, and my disappointment in the voters will rise again. That is as far as my action would go, mind you. I do not mean to imply any physical threat, or advocate such a thing in any way, because that is not only illegal, but it just breaks laws to get a law breaker, which is wrong headed. The law needs to go after these people.
What would happen if we went back to Florida and looked for offenses that can be prosecuted -- a fair man like Fitzgerald could be released.
Obama is saying that he will not seek to prosecute people who tortured in Guatameno. I am troubled by this statement, though I understand the impulse. I do not want to blame soldiers acting orders for not defying orders. That is fine for the perfect world, but we live in this one -- the soldiers had no choice, were as much brain washed as any beaten wife who stays with her husband. When tortured was okay'd by the white house, the gates opened to Hell. A hell for men who were often sold to CIA agents and told they were Al Quida, or whatever. I do not blame the CIA for what they did. They are under the control of the president. Period. They could have been told to play things fairly, to do this right and gain us the respect of the world, instead they followed the orders of a man without shame or reflection, George Bush. His press conference today was a slap in the face for a lot of people, including, oddly enough, 'writers and piners.' Fuck him. Writers. Us writers through the fucking republicans out and got the democrats into power, by telling the truth. So Bush criticizes that. He even tries to defend federal efforts during The Flood in new orleans. He finds no room to criticize himself in his rhetoric, plays the tough guy -- he is just some rich, spoiled asshole, who will surround himself with synchophents for the rest of his life and live out his myth, while the rest of us, who were not born with silver spoons, who are not 'his people' (referring to his speach in front of a bunch of very rich conservatives who he kept calling 'his people' in a rare moment of honesty), to fend for ourselves in the rubble left over after his administration -- this man refused to face the greenhouse effect for a lot years that were critical... we are going to lose the artic, and he is more responsible than any other human being on this planet. He should be put on trial for a lot of things, including his campaign against yours truly, who ended up on his enemy list and rightly so. I would have it no other way. Any writer who is unable to get the government after his ass, now that Homeland Security can half legally bug everyone, should lay down their fucking pens.
I am not going to ever shut up, is my point. They cannot control my types anymore. We have the web. I will no longer allow them to be the 'gate keepers' on what I can and cannot say. No one of honor will, though we all know honor is lacking in most people when it comes to anything that might cause them some problems. No balls, I think... balls being purely metaphorical, and available to any sex in my warped termonology.
I am just going to ramble tonight, as I seem to do mostly in this blog. I am writing more in my other blog, http://wakingupjesus.blogspot.com . I was sent into reflection by a Colbert joke tonight, after he mentioned England, He said, "I have been taken in by enough english guys in robes asking me to pull the sword out of the stone."
I take any reference, by someone who has said things on his show about my blog (as Colbert did quite a bit), to king arthur, to be about me... I made a big thing about my being the rightly heir of an ancient line of kings during my campaign. Tonight he said something like, "I have been taken in by enough english guys in robes who asked me to take the sword out of the stone." This may or may not be related to me. It caused my me some anxiety though. For awhile, the references to me were very positive when I started my campaign... now, what little reference I see to The House Of Pain (a label I used during the campaign that sticks with some people, especially after tyler perry did me the honor of using the moniker for a show (at the time, I encouraged people to steal from me, and even put their own name on it if that was what it took to spread the ideas in my work... I do not feel like I own these words in the traditional sense. The net questions such things. Still, I do not want my stuff stolen. The poetry during the campaign, though... I wanted that spread by any means neccessary, and I was right -- I was able to kick start a lot of activist artists in this country. ANd I did it using techniques taught to me by spies and professors who study them... The people who helped me truly were brillant. Coblert included. His encouragement during the campaign gave me great pleasure. John Stewart, as well. I really count them as friends now. Allies in the good fight. So I hope that he does not feel 'burned' by guys in robes who talk about king arthur.
Colbert, by the way, also had access to the bugs in my house in some capacity, because he could hear my comments during his show, and see me... very odd to be bugged by friends and enemies, because you know one will not stop bugging you no matter what. A guy even came up to me during this time, and asked if I needed some privacy. I did, of course, but I knew that the other side was not going to leave me alone, they were going to bug my ass no matter what, and I wanted both sides to hear the shit that I was talking about. At that point, on the medications they had a new doctor prescribe to me, I was manic and half mad, which caused me to act in a lot of ways that I felt were right, which on reflection I would change (I keep seeing him, this doctor, constantly on his computer during our sessions, saying to me at one point, "I will see if they will give you that," and prescribing me phentynal patches, though before this he claimed that he had no license to give out such narcotics. And the seroqul, which is the cause of huge class action suite, because it drove people mad, gave them diabetes, etc... thank god I decided on my own to get off the shit. At one point, I did not sleep for a week. And still the doctor kept me on it. Mysterious shit that makes sense only if the doctor was being used. I went back to my normal doctors, at cook county, and they were like, You can't take seroquil and tramadol... as soon as I stopped taking the crap, the mania that got me hospitalized four fimes, caused me seizures and shit... went away. No lawyer will take my case, of course. Those sick bastards in that field. They all want million dollar cases, or they are just afraid to take my particular case. I am well known in Chicago, at least.
Smart folk should wonder if their association with me will cause them to checked out. My latest new friend, B, who I met last year, was taken hostage by the Chicago Cops for no reason at all and held for four hours, then they let him go. The day before, he was with me when I scored some weed. They got info that they could bust a friend of mine and went after him. They do not come after me for this... why is interesting. I think they are too smart to care about this small infraction in this city, for the most part. They allow the smoke outs in the park in the summer, unless some fool walks up and blows smoke in their face, as some idiots who got arrested did. I truly think they realize more about what is going on with drugs than civilians, and they know that pot is nothing. They know which drugs they are really fighting -- crack, meth, heroin... the life killers. Weed is a mild enhancement.
My bro d. was recently busted for weed in Ohio, and since the possession bust, the local pinhead cops have pulled him over three times and searched his cars. I told him that he should sue their asses for harassment and he is like, "Man, that would just bring the cops down on me." I thought the cops were already coming down on him, and they would back off if they knew they were being watched. That is way the roaches are -- turn on the lights and they scatter. These cops are bullies. Unthinking machines. The reason that people riot. Cops like this cause the kids to get bottled up anger that comes out sooner or later. Sometimes, like in Oakland Ca last week, there are riots. There a cop shot a guy in the back for no reason discernible. Luckily, this was taped by civilians and will be used in law suits and prosecutions.
I like cops myself, find the ones in Chicago to be, mostly, good, judicious types. One asshole I met on the south side is the exception, a black guy with a big mouth and a hard on all the time for abusing people (the sexual side of abusing another person is unexplored in most literature, but cops get addicted to it -- the power makes their tiny balls tingle). I still want to strangle the guy over the way he treated me, but I just let it go, of course.
Most cops, however, are just fine. Good neighbors, etc. I am not going to generalize any job and hate the people who do it. The system creates cops. IF the system is fucked up, so are the cops. If torture is okay'd by their higher ups, they will feel like this is their responsibility to solve crimes. They will give in to their urges to punch murderers in the face, or whatever. Russian cops are famous for beating the hell out of people they bust. This is counter-productive. You want people to join society and be awarded for doing so, not berated by the symbol of the government, the system, until they want nothing to do with them, and will tell them nothing when a crime has been committed. It is not simply fear that keeps people from pointing out criminals in the ghettos who belong to gangs or whatever, it is also the way the cops treat them.
I believe in a kind of social Darwinism -- that we are getting better. That we are solving problems within our society, and will continue to do so. The history of america is one of evolving, slowly, toward the truth. The truth about racism, classicism, royalty, etc... We are about a system of law that can be changed by the courts, shaped and developed. There is great hope in such a system, if it is held up, instead of tossed into the gutter, by Cheney and Bush and his cabal.
