Acting Director Erwin McEwen
Illinois Department of Children and Family Services
fought in court to keep the money for foster care kids from being cut by the so called DOOMSDAY budget in Illinois, where naturally they are going to balance the budget on the backs of the most vulnerable in our society. Mr. Erwin stood up in court and successfully argued that this would break state laws which mandate that foster kids have to be treated humanly. We are seeing the terrible effects still of Reagen, who balanced budgets on the backs of high schools by cutting out sports and arts, rather than raise taxes on his rich supporters. What a bastard. Here you have the exact opposite of Reagan, a man who said that taxing the rich has to be done to take care of the poor, disabled, elderly, because we would damn well do it for them if we were healthy, and if they are too selfish, well fuck them.. they want to end up in a war with a communist party in the states, just keep cutting social services and watch them rise up out of the ghetto like a phoenix.
Thank God there is a sane judge around. Nice to write about something the court did right, after all the times I dissed them in my last article. I mean, I think lawyers are loaded guns... use them right, they are great... wrong, you end up in jail.
