The Radio Show is coming along. For those of who are clever enough to understand that I am explaining how to produce, direct and write a show here, if you want to find the entries about the radio show. I try to come up with all of my ideas on the blog. Why not? Makes it funny for me, and gives me the occasional bit of criticism.
I am happy to announce that I have secured the first feature reader, Jason Pettus, who runs CCLAP, and is going to supply me with new writers for every show. So, one segment of every show will bring you a new Chicago writer. Not so much a book plug.... but them actually reading their work.
That gives me a half hour of material for every show. Along with the half hour I am going to devote to my own reading, that gives me one hour filled already. The other is where I will get all crazy with the comedy, take callers (which I will set up, because internet people are notorious for just listening to the podcaste later.
Now, with all my comedy characters.... doing the news, and the cult reports, and moonbong reading his journal for the week, johnny pain's stories, etc... I am all set.
I have another guest for the first show, just to establish Gonzo credibility and make sure that they know they have a kindred soul on the air... is a writer from Key West (I love it down there, but give me key largo... where they have sand beaches, rather than volcanic pebbles... I heard from this life guard that all these Japaese tourists get there and then bitch like hell because there are not even sand beaches. Funny... flip flops, dude, flip flops...
I have been writing like hell. Well, less writing than editing. I have found that Facebook increases my readership a lot, so I have been selecting some of the best of in here and putting it up on there.
