Activist groups take full advantage of new media outlets to spread their message



I found this article articulated well what I believe is a start in the right direction.  I imagine the internet leading to a world wide identity of all people as citizens of the earth.  By and large people are peaceful and their leaders order wars.   This could be stopped, or at least discouraged, by a new world consciousness of the sort that intellectuals have been trying to figure out forever, the core ethics that almost all people share, regardless of their culture... I look at these ethics as the Holy Grail...  the truths like freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness... these are everyones.  Shared by the most obscure goat herder in Afghanistan, and the president of your local bank.  Even the people who take such rights from others, expect them for themselves....

I can only speculate on what they might be, or parrot out my own beliefs, in the hope that my studies have lead me in the correct direction...  I think women's rights is one of the core issues.   Then rights of children, which should follow along nicely with women's rights, especially with all the kids being raised just by moms.
Minority rights.   Freedom of religion and the press.   These few laws, if agreed upon, could change the world for the better... how and when and by what means?   By people entering this virtual world on the net and discovering that there are other ways to live, then their own traps.... of geography, Cult like religions, hatred, prejudices..
