True life is more boring than fiction, or seems to be at least after we have compartmentalized all the things we must to suffer the slings and arrows of another day. Like John Irving said, 'give me your best real story and I will make it better with fiction.' Now lo and behold this fiction writer has discovered that reality is more interesting, and unbelievable, than the wildest premises I have used in my fiction... wild ones like a guy dealing with talking pigs and cows, etc... on a space ship, somewhat like Noah's Ark once that gave animals speech thru surgery and genetics so they could keep them alive easier... even vegetables.... and made this believable, yet what I have discovered in experience, and then found context for in research, right here in good old reality, I have a hard time finding people who understand enough to believe what I KNOW about the shadowy world of spies. Indeed... those who know know -- the gap between the Witting and the Unwitting is much, much larger than the unwitting realize.
