CIA OPERATIVE BLAMES BLOGGERS FOR PINETTA'S RISE

FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES... CIA AGENT BLAMES BLOGGERS FOR PUTTING PANETTA IN THE CIA.

John Brennan—the initial candidate for C.I.A.director—was pressured to withdraw. Critics accused Brennan, who had been a top agency official during the Bush years, of complicity with the torture program. (A friend of Brennan’s from his C.I.A. days complained to me, “After a few Cheeto-eating people in the basement working in their underwear who write blogs voiced objections to Brennan, the Obama Administration pulled his name at the first sign of smoke, and then ruled out a whole class of people: anyone who had been at the agency during the past ten years couldn’t pass the blogger test.”)

This is interesting to me... the peceptions of people toward internet writers. Could there be a wider gap between generations? In thirty years, people will not look at the technology involved in getting out a writers message as meaningful at all. Bloggers, the average citizens who are using the internet to participate in a political system that largely ignores their concerns, are the saviors of this country... not the destroyers.

People of course fear what they do not understand. For most of recorded time, the media and religions and culture were controlled by a few people with the most power. Noam Chomsky used to write that the news was controlled by people who were wealthy enough to afford a few million for a printing press, and they would always emphasize their own concerns over others.

Now, we have these bloggers.... who the CIA operative describes as Cheeto Eaters. When did eating Cheetos become the mark of a fool, anyways? I have problems with anyone who is recklessly liberal with their criticism of any form of cheese, let alone the much beloved and democratic Cheeto. I guess I should not be surprised to once more find myself on the other side of the ideological divide from a secrecy cloacked governmnet organization. Cheese was once a sacred Common Ground for all people... oh, well.

I think this CIA operative over estimates the Obama/internet connection. I mean, the president had his beliefs long before bloggers came along and said, "Hey, this guy seems to represent me." Bloggers did not force Obama to distance himself from people who were involved in the Bush Regime's Crimes. Or maybe we did.... it would be a nice thought that people could have a say on such an important matter as the head of the CIA. That alone would be a true revolution.

The CIA is generally considered the presidents private army. The one that doesn't need little bothers like congressional oversite to act, just a president who is willing to trample anyone's civil rights...

I am very sympathetic toward actual people who work in Intelligence. I think it is crazy to think that if Bush told the CIA to do 'whatever it takes' to attack their percieved enemies, that we should now use 20/20 hindsight to say that they should have just refused to go along. These people are locked into security oaths that will destroy them if they break their secrecy vows. We ask our soldiers to follow orders from their superrior at the threat of jail or death. Then, we tell them that they should have revolted? There is no logic in this.

I am with Obama on the one point, I surely do not want to see a witch hunt that just fucks up our intelligence agencies and feels more like revenge than justice. The CIA needs to quit worrying so much about covering their asses, and start wondering why they feel like they have to all the time. I don't think the secrecy is good for anyone -- not spies, not governments, sure as hell not the Geneva Convention Rights of people our soldiers are battling (who we carefully refuse to call soldiers, so they can remain in the black hole of justice -- defined as enemy combatants, which pretty much means people who you can do whatever to).

I surely am puzzled by the spies as much as anyone else. I also read today that the public doesn't care much about NSA domestic spying. This was interesting -- because people are not interested, nothing is getting reformed on this issue. That is really pathetic, though it could point to something else the 'cheeto eating bloggers in thier underwear' need to wake and bake and ponder for a few words. Like I always say, if the government isn't watching you, you aren't writing hard enough. Well, actually I think the phrase is a little tidier than that.... what I actually say. This is more correctly what I always mean.

Paranoid people actually are right at home in this New World Order. Finally, the world has caught up to their twisted visions.

All that you've done has led up to this -- and whether or not our country takes the next crucial step depends on what you do right now.

46 million uninsured... doc's worried about malpractice.

THE HEALTH CARE DEBATE AGAIN..... OBAMA IS THE FOURTH PRESIDENT TO RUN ON THIS ISSUE.... Perhaps the first to have a senate majority now that OUR HERO AL FRANKEN IS IN THE SENATE.... I have very high hopes for a man will at least be the funniest politician ever, hands down, period... STEWART SMALLEY WAS ART, MAN...

Yesterday, President Obama was speaking to the AMA here in town. A few of them boo'd him when he said he was not going to put caps on malpractice cases.

I love america. Where the American Medical Association is actually sleazy. Doctors. The ones you don't see on scrubs, or, gag, gag.... Gray's Anatomy. These are the guys who are worried that they might lose a couple bucks if the government has an affordable insurance plan. The middle man will be gone, and that has to save a few bucks, but also, the doctors will be forced to take the kind of low payments they now get from medicaid and medicare (many doctors do not even take these insurances, because they charge exorb ihant amounts).

Thank God for doctors. Some. Don't get me wrong. I am not quite so reactionary as to condemn an entire profession, like the Scientologists with psychiatry. Yes, psychiatry has brought its own set of problems into our society, but they have also benefited us greatly. A lot of physicians out there would get behind any kind of program that gets everyone insured.... which by the way, will more than likely save our society money in the end, if adequate preventive care is emphasized.

I don't see us being a society, anytime soon, when being a Doctor will not be a high paid profession.

President after president has refused to really stand up to the insurance companies and the AMA. Or if they did, they were swatted down. Handed their asses, basically, by the american system of checks and balances. Hearts in the right place or not, the political reality seemed to them that pleasing a narrow, influential set of people, like insurance lobbyiests and the clout they hold in Washington with various politicians, was more important than pleasing the vast, teeming masses without Health insurance. This is why a lot of people do not vote. Over and over people have said, Hey, We Need National Healthcare, four presidents have now run and won using this issue.

Clinton was not the first. Sometimes I get cynical and figure students of history know to offer this plum when running for the middle class and lower vote... students, artists, leftists, even socialists and communists get under the same flag for this one. To me, this issue was decided years and years ago, there needs to be nationalized healthcare - in the countries where it runs well, it is great. We should learn from them, as well as those we criticize and come up with a fucking great plan. We went to the fucking moon, we can figure out insurance.

Obama has to talk to all sides, listen to all concerns, take everything he can into account when making a decision, not rely on Dogma. He would have gotten nowhere in american politics if he had. I applaud his open mindedness, and community building skills. The Right and the Selfish may never go over to his side, and for some this will be because they have in their fucked up heads that their ideology trumps what seems true in the moment. Meaning, National Health Care seems like socialism/ and didn't the fascists have that?

If they can dismiss what Obama says with the least thought possible, all the better. Limbaugh would rather give someone a damning anecdote about Obama, real or fabricated, than spend the time researching what the news might mean if he could view the issue from more than his own, selfish side. Self serving people. They often win in this world.

The doctors are not this obtuse, of course. They have said for years that national healthcare would kill off medical research. That the drug companies would not spend money developing expensive drugs with no incentive.

Interesting use of the market here -- as if scientists will only work if there are big drug companies. Universities could do research, government could fund research. And of course, there would still be a huge market for new drugs, that could be sold to the government. Money is still there.

A few times in a societies life, they have to raise themselves up and look around at their fellows and do what is best. 46 Million have no isurance. People who don't end up flooding very expensive emergency rooms, when a visit to a neighborhood doctor would save society hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars. '

Just in the Chicago Area, the best doctors I have discovered to treat me for chronic pain are at Stroger Hospital, and before that Cook County. They'r great people, and since it is the inner-city, they are very aware of addiction issues, and almost always have kept me off narcotics, which is basically their practice. A few terrible flare-ups and they were there for me, but for the ten or so years I have been in Chronic Pain, I've taken a pretty mild mix of pills. Nothing a junkie would be very interested in. At least since I started refusing valium.

If the country goes national in insurance, Stroger Hospital will fianlly get paid for all the wonderful work they have done over the years. How many tens of thousands of people owe their lives to the simple fact that they live where there is a county hospital? Cook County does what it can with a limited budget, and will certainly get much better with the influx of cash. As will a lot of other hospitals throughout the country that cater to the indigent. In my life, with all of my surgeries, starting in 1967 with a surgery that cost 100,000 (a year in a hospital, experimental treatments, etc... )... what that would be today, I guess a million plus. Add to that various other surgeries and years of treatment, and I have sure as hell been on all sides of healthcare. Insured to the gills, uninsured and bancrupted by a hospitalization, then insured...

My experience with socialized medicene, at Cook County, and then Stroger, convinced me that the best doctors I had ever seen were at the Pain Clinic. I have tried others over the years, since they encourage one to have a primary physician, and though a few tried to take over my pain control, none were even close to the Pain Clinic at Stroger.

We better get everyone insured this time, or a lot of people are going to feel like no matter who is in the presidency, small, vocal minorities are going to fight for whatever financial power they have, and everyone else be damned. They are businesses. Run for the bottom line. Doctors and insurance companies and drug companies, a powerful group of people, who control a lot of money.

In all of these fields, there are of course exceptions. Probably all of them agree some change is needed, at least. Getting them to agree on what change impossible. Obama Needs to use this opportunity to get something radically correct passed. With Franken making the magic number 60 nin the Senate, they should just fucking finally do the right thing, and the FULFILL THE PROMISE OF NOW FOUR PRESIDENTS.... AT LEAST 46 MILLION PEOPLE INTHIS COUNTRY SHOULD BE REJESTERED TO VOTE, JUST TO KICK OUT ANYONE WHO VOTES AGAINST NATIONAL CARE THAT COVERS EVERYONE..... Let them choose their insurance, if they can compete. I doubt they will be able to compete very well, after my experiences at Stroger Hospital, who put all the MD''s I saw to shame.

We forget that a lot of countries use this system quite well, thank you.

lAST night I watched a documentary about a cult, where an older guy claimed he was Jesus and he knew that the world was going to end in october of 2007. These people were living for the armeggedon. They were very happy, especially the kids, who instead of going to school got to surf the web, and hang out with a person whom they think is Jesus Christ. His son was one of the biggest believers. At some point, the son brought his wife out to live on their commune, and the father, who says he is the God, was commanded to 'consumate' with her. He thought that since he got horny around her, this was God saying sleep with her.

He also wrote in some sermon one week that he thought that people should stand naked before God. So, the next week the women decided that this meant that they should get naked with their own personal Jesus. Which they did. Supposedly they begged him for sex but he held out, even with the fourteen year old.

I watched almost all of the video, filled with their smiling, earnest faces. These people were originally seventh day aventist, whose church was started with a big american revival, that snatched huge swaths of the population up at the time, saying the world was going to end on such and such a day. Thousands sold all their possessions. Well, world's still here... and so is the church that was left from this movement. And here they are, manifesting the same human behavior of their predecessors.

I couldn't watch the end. I didn't want to see all these people looking crushed, and then either stay in the cult or move on to the next one.

People spend way too much time thinking that they have found someone who really knows God. No one knows God. And the sooner a preacher admits this to themselves, the sooner they can be humble enough to even begin to understand God.

Just heard, from one of those lumpy, bespectled new york journalists (seriously, I have no idea who he was, but it aired today at 6 pm... he was asked something about the internet, and blew off the entire endeavor of internet writers as 'personalities who think they should be more powerful than they are, and their worshipers," The smug look on his fat face as he said this would look good being blown apart by a shotgun blast. He was so sure of himself, like he actually believes that crap. His generation had newspapers, the future will have the web.

I am amazed that on a program as seemingly sophisticated as this that I would have to get pissed off at somebody. I take this kind of thing as a personal insult. My intelligence itself begins to hurt.

They cannot see beyond the model that they are in. And right now, the print journalists have all the money to travel and investigate, but that will not remain the case. Good primary material is not always lacking in computer news, but I think most of us read others reporting and then use that material almost metaphorically for our own use. Kind of like collage making.

Literarily speaking, the internet is the best thing that could have happened to fiction writers, most of who toil in undeserved obscurity. As far as journalists go, they want to stave off the inevitable because they are terrified. Not only for their profession, but because of all the reasons we need a free press that somewhat unbiased in what they will write. Think about what politicians would try to get away with if they thought no one was ever going to call them on their folly. They are watchdogs.

When I hear statements like this reporters, I also feel everyone else out there who is writing on the net kind of cringing over this pompous asses words. We think, is it true?

Obama Okay's Torture

Allowing the CIA to take cap0tives to countries that torture, is saying torture is okay. I am very worried about this guy. I hoped that he was different, and perhaps he is, but there are somevery disturbing things coming out of the presidency right now. From backing down on a single payer healthcare system -- which he used to advocate, to saying that Bush does not need to be looked into, because that is looking back, lead me to once more think... were we scammed again? I wrote a poem about how 'the last thing we expect to find in voting booth is hope.' His posters then came out with Hope on them...

I innately distrust politicians after the few years I worked in politics, and living in Chicago under the Daly Regine, who do whatever the hell they want (the latest is his nephew using the cities funds to buy a building that the city rented for aro9und 50k per year, which shot up to 500k under the nephew. The feds are investigating... add him to the hundreds of Daly people who have been prosecuted.

I should have known... Obama contacted me during his campaign, saying he wanted to talk to me... at the time, this proved impossible, though I told him that I wanted to. Now, he is president, and just goes along with the whole cone of silence around me.

There is not political solution, and politics is all we have between us and an ecological apocalypse... guess we are fucked..

Remember the golden shiv awards? This award is given to the good souls who shiv degenerates in prison. Well, this guy is going to be sentenced in July for going up to a stranger, an african-american woman, and out of the blue, Karate chopping her and screaming the N word. This guy writes conservative words that are about as racist as they come, and he writes speeches for top conservatives, and is a buddy of no less a traitor to humanity than Pat BUCHANEN. If he is indeed jailed for his crime -- up to 180 days... he'll surely offer his ass up to some muscled white supremist. This will give you all the more reason to shiv the little bitch...

Remember, the Golden Shive also comes with a carton of cigarettes.

So sharpen up those toothbrushes ...

And let me stress again, for the benefit of the cons who keep writing in to me, there will be no cigarettes or magazines given to diagnosed AIDS victions who spew death into this little maggot. I mean, God Bless your heart, but the economy is tough.

This last point is important because there are some who advocate for democracy only when they are out of power; once in power, they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. svu tries to make me,and other people who know about gov survaillance, look crazy... tv is mostly evil.

My life either scares people... or makes them think I am mad... I AM either lying to them, or they see the events of my life as representative of a huge conspiracy that they do not want to deal with.The easy way out for me would be to shut up. That is what my enemies want. Like the new green day song, "KNOW YOUR ENEMY....... SILENCE!"

On June 3, SVU aired a show on a paranoid artist -- a painter, who wore nothing but black, and imagined that he was being filmed and followed. Munch, who used to be a conspiracy theorist on the show, met his ex-wife, who still believed in the conspiracies and was made out to be 'off her medication...' They had the crazed artist in black killing people because he thought they were spying on him.


My country has -- as of last October -- two million citizens of the United States under surveillance, and were adding 20 thousand a week. We are not talking about Roswell here, or anything that involves more than logic and sense to understand. It takes no leap of faith to understand that the NSA is monitoring everything on the web and phone, seeking, through the use of key words, to filter our terrorists before they can strike (and of course they use this info for other things, as well... top secret programs like the one they ran called TOTAL INFORMATION AWARENESS... a known and documented program through the CIA to see every communication possible and screen them for criminal behavior). Go from there to the point that I was writing about killing neo cons when Bush was in power, as well as about raising an army... at which I had a lot more success than I thought was possible.

I studied under a lot of radicals, my mother once led a powerful union. I am bright, good looking, charming when I want to be. Someone decided I was a threat.l I first discovered as much when a cop came up to me at the park, then showed me a bag of, basically, torture devices. There were all kinds of stun guns, those retractable metal clubs they carry, etc... The conversation was good. The guy had memorized a bunch of literary and philosophical quotes. I was impressed, though on rec collectione, I remember another undercover cop who came on to me by showing me his poetry -- which was marvelous, and in the end obviously from someone other than that sleazy cat (he was trying to get me for smoking weed when I was 17). In the end, this cop at the park told me his email address was .., 'something' that ended in COPS. I had mentioned to him that I smoke pot, so he emphasized the COP part. Like the word was enough to strike fear in my heart. I am a law-abiding citizen in every respect that matters... I told him that I didn't care that he was a police officer; that I am just a smoker, not a dealer.

I brushed off this incident until later, when the surveillance became ridiculously obvious in 2007. Like anyone else who abides by the laws of their land, I felt like there was no reason to watch me. This surveillance went into high gear when I started a radio show and the Total War For Total Peace, a campaign that was helped along tremendously by the support of John Stewart and Steven Colbert, as well as numerous others who have my unending gratitude. Anyways, this SVU episode takes the reality that aware people deal with everyday and makes it into something that needs to be treated by shrinks. Some think everything on TV is controlled, part of a vast social conditioning. Certainly, if you look at the larger picture, TV is the greatest influences on humankind since God himself. This is why repressive countries try so hard to control the media, like in China, where even mentioning politics in an art work will get you into trouble. In the states, the few bits of data that we have on the CIA, shows they fund over 2,500 books a year. One famous case is Jerzy Kosinski (one of my favorite writers), and the novel The Painted Bird, who's assistants from that time, and later, say he did not know enough english to have written the book. It is assumed by many that the CIA wrote the book (personally, if the CIA wrote this book, then I have to applaud them -- that is one stunning book).

Another example of how The CIA (NSA, even more, actually) buzzes around the net looking for references to world events and trying to shape the info, just like Scientology does. Scientology fears just what is happening with groups like Anonymous -- who exposwe them to be an elaborate scam that has become a self-perpetuating mania through modern brain washing techniques. The CIAfears that their illegal, manipulative social engineering would be stopped, or at least protested strongly, if the average joe could read a paper with enough facts to support this thesis -- which is not likely to happen (the CIA, I learned in my military intelligence classes, is expert at hiding what they want to, and they know how to keep the mainstream media from discussing these matters -- by using shows like SVU to make anyone who knows about domestic spying sound nuts). The idea of demonizing the truth so much that no one wants anything to do with it is another sign that Military Intelligence is not an oxymoron.


TV shows like SVU could just be showing some writers asinine lack of social consciousness in his choice of subject matter? A crazy conspiracy theorist? Wow, they really don't care how cliche their stories are. Maybe the world is a series of accidents? Well, if you think so, you really are too blind to keep up with me.

SVU's stupid **** story about a conspiracy theorist who is crazy, mocks everyone who knows the truth about this world. Need more proof that there is something more going on in your tv set than you know? You are being conditioned to believe that anyone with gov secrets is crazy.

One time I went to a high school class to read some of my book one war, which has a lot of stuff about the period when the CIA was funding Contra death squads after the house and senate had made their coke dealing campaign illegal. The kids thought I was some crazy nut. They were very priveleged kids in a private school... rich little ****s who were going to grow up and run the country...


(I was writing about the period after they lost congressional funding, when the serial killer Reagen ordered them to continue their war in El Salvador, in spite breaking every law in the land -- he basically had an army, raised in war, who terrorized the leftists in the country... shame on anyone who thinks this man was some great ****ing icon... I would like to dig up his corpse and piss on his face, personally. And I keep hoping Just Say No Nancy will fall down some stairs or something... (just kidding... I wish her well... her husband, however, made the world a better place when he kicked). Those people are pure evil, man... and they ran the Bush administrations, too.... sickening. Reagen was all about making the States a playground for the rich, and f the poor.).


All I can say in the end is that no matter what they tell you on TV, radio, etc.... This government is spying on YOU... just getting on the Internet means your writing will be at least be checked for key words. Now, you might say, I am not a criminal, so who cares if they listen. Well, fine... but that is not the law. The law says that they have to have a reason to invade our privacy.


I sympathises with the need to stop terrorists of course, but this information is also used to monitor peace activists and just about anyone who is not a neo-con... Senator Ted Kennedy, bless his soul, was on one of the government Watch Lists...


Don't be fooled. The government is spying on a lot of people, and interferring with them, if they are deemed to be a threat to the status quo. Yes, they seek terrorists, but they are also seeking radicals who they can basicalolfy disarm.... an extreme example, is one of my philosophy prof. 's who told me he was lured to a school in the mountains, where he no longer had anything to protest, and there were no grades and the CIA kept cheap drugs way available to the students. This prof. ended up working for the NSA in some capacity that he could not revel. Look up operation Garden Plot, which Nixon started to go against protestors... in other forms with less exposure, the program continues to this day.

Political Activism... does that require leaving my house?

Hey....

I have been writing this morning at a site called Rant and Rave, after getting sicker than shit of all the good press that Reagan is getting on his one hundredth birthday. The only good thing about this shit is that he is dead. My first book, One War, was about the transgressions of this mass murderer as much as anything else. People who read that book come out of the experience, quote, 'vibrating' with hatred of the intelligence agencies. This was not exactly my point, since I also know they saved the Dali' Lama and keep terrorists at bay, etc... I want the people in the CIA to be accountable to someone who is sane, not a criminal like Bush.

They are open to a lot more criticism than they get, which is going to happen with organizations as secret as the CIA. In our military intelligence classes, we studied the FBI mostly, because our Prof., Dr. Danial Stern had more experience with them (Indeed, the files on him fill a room... and he was a voice of peaceful dissent when everyone around him in the sixties were becoming so frustrated with trying to change the world that they thought they needed guns. Even John Lennon, who has been co-opted by the Peace is the Answer folk, said this, "THE MORE PAIN WE HAVE, THE MORE GUNS WE NEED."). The CIA was too hard to crack, and since the stories about it were less based on fact, with little primary sources for us to study, the professor stuck to what he could academically prove. He also slipped me a book about how the CIA inserts personalities into people at one point, which I have wondered about ever since waking up after a coma with the personality of Christ slowly taking control of my thinkiing.

When The Terminator of California chose to add Reagan's Statue to some thing in Washington, and replace an older political figure who convinced the state to be part of the union in the civil war, is an insult to african-americans --- they took down the statue of freind of the people, and put up a statue of an enemy of the blacks if ever there was one. Remember the famous quote about "Welfare Queens?" There is not only a lot of ignorance in that statement -- most people on welfare are white, and his slam was reserved for black women in the ghetto. You know a president has access to any info he wants. He could have known better. The Republican party, until this last year, ignored the black vote, just wrote it off. They knew that Blacks had, for the most part, seen through thier scam.... my black friends are actually more prone to believe a conspiracy theory than I am, because, especially in Chicago, the history of what was done by the FBI to the radical blacks in the sixties was religated to a mostly verbal history. They know, a lot of them, that there are two major perceptual landscapes in america --- the group who believe whatever the government and the media say, and those who see it with their own eyes.

They see the cops on tv and find no them incompatible with the image they have witnessed while being constantly harrassed for appearing black enough to be a criminal (My good buddy Ben quit driving to avoid rascist cops (and non-rascist cops who are using rascist tactics), because he was sure that sooner or later he was going to kick someones ass over the issue).

I remember Reagan cutting out the arts and sports programs in California to balance the budget. I hate politicians for this shit. They should just raise the taxes. In Europe, inthe countries that pay the most taxes, people are happiest, because the government actually does a better job in some cases than predatorial, self-interested businessman who are slaves to a few speculators who own their stock.

We need higher taxes in this country. And we need to legislate that businesses cannot just up and move to a lower wage part of the world without substantial penalties (hopefully enough to make them decide that their employees lives are worth something after all). We could solve a hell of a lot of our fiscal problems by legalizing and taxing pot, but no one wants to be sane enough to do this. Polticians fear losing the just say no crowd, without understanding how many of us are out here ready to support them if they take a radical action.

Some days I think I should run for office, do it like Hunter S. Thompson did when he ran for sherrif. I would campaign on the idea that Iwas going to try to get pot legalized in Chicago, and to finally get the government tax stamps (which exist as a way dealers can pay the irs without any penalty -- though few take advantage of this, it is a sign of sanity on the part of the government, and an acknowledgement that those involved in selling weed are usually not criminals at all.

So, since I have the internet and the new computer, I am writing a lot in my blogs. I am too serious for the people who used to follow me for the daly comedy. I have kind of thrown out the idea of pleasing my readers at this point. I am writing essay's that are beyond some of my friends, who just kind of shrug and say they cannot follow me. I still have some readers who are brainy who like this turn of events. So.... when my internet connection was cut off a few months ago, I had just written two articles about the corrupt mayor here in town. I suspected at the time that there might be a connection, because after the shit I have been through, you realize that occasionally something that seems coincidental is not at all... well, I figured out yesterday, while reading back through my blog, that one of the entries I wrote about Mayor Daly was missing. I had written two, and the second one was much kinder, because there are some things I love about this mayor... and I wanted to be balanced. Well, is this all a co-incidence? Once I wrote a poem that called Daly, The first gangsta mayor... and the entry immediatly went down... I had to retype it (this had never happened before and never has since). That day on TV I saw a black politician talking about the difference between gansta and gangster. Weird. Anyways, since the entry was taken down, I am all pissed off.... I can remember the heart of it, but the words as they were put together, and the honesty of the moment, are of course lost. I am basically considering the guy in my cross hatch. This is a good time to do this... the two papers in town are doing all these articles about local corruption because the state government is working on an anti-corruption bill that the politicians keep gutting.... They really are sleazy bastards in this town. I like to think this is not universal. I had never seen anything like this in the other cities I lived. I used to see cops going into the cab office, and coming out with big wads of cash that they non-chalantly counted and cut up in their cars. This is a mob run cab company, mind you. I worked for them because they were a block from my house. I am glad I did, in a way. A real education to see how sleazy these guys really are. I was one of their favorites, so they took care of me.... actually involved me in insurance fraud without my knowledge, and sent me to a supposed doctor who recommended a bunch of shit to me after an accident... physical therapy forever... since you get, in a settlement, three times your medical bills. I stormed into the cab companies lawyers office (yes, one of the mobsters sons is their lawyer -- how cliche is that)... and told him this place tried to get me involved in fraud. A year later this clinic was busted. I would have actually went to jail if I did what this mobster wanted me to. Fuck... they blamed one of my accidents on someone else, charged the guy 450 bucks. I found out a year after it happened, and was sick at the though,... there was nothing I could do. We paid 60 bucks a day for the cab, but when they gathered the money envelopes, they would always take the money from a couple of them, then tell the drivers that they never got their lease. The drivers all knew they were doing it, and just paid up like a corruption tax. When it happened to me, I made a big deal our of it -- and since I was buddies with the head guy, who bought one of my paintings, they suddenly 'found' my lost lease. I told some guy who I was great friends with in grade school about a little of what happened to me, and freaked him, made him think I am crazy. That is part of what makes me crazy -- I know too much, man. I have had an experience that is so outside the norm, that it sounds like madness when related, which is why I relegated the story to Waking Up Jesus. My story is certainly now very, very different than most, which is good for my writing, because the world my Waking Up Jesus lives in is ours, but most people will think it merely a fiction. Enough people know about me that my words are totally believed by them -- if you think I am alone in my vision, then know no less than steven colbert and john stewart know and accept what I say as total fact. They both tried to help me.... I think. That is the thing about the spies, you never know who is who.... i you are a guy like me. I know of a couple spies in this neighborhood, but I also know that some of these spies are on my side.... and some are not. I figure, since I am not in jail or being harrassed for pot smoking or something, that I have a lot of allies here in town. Oh, well...

This City Loses 500 million a year in corruption

This from a study of local corruption by UIC's political science department. The belt strapping that I told you was going to finally force people to clean out politics is here, and paying a 500 million dollar a year price to keep Daly and his corrupt Machine in power is a luxury that we can no longer afford.

500 million. I guess he could give the cops their raise if he was not corrupt. Interesting Irony there.

Today, we are hearing that his nephew joins his son in being exposed as sleazily making his way through life with his criminal connections to the Machine. This time, the Daly faction took money out of retirement accounts and spent it wildly, losing millions... makes me think that 500 million figure is low balling -- especially when you consider the sale of the cities parking meters for a price that was much lower than it would have been if Daly insiders had not set themselves with a sweethear deal.

DALY IS SELLING PUBLIC PROPERTY BEHIND OUR BACKS, BECAUSE HE CONSIDERS THE CITY HIS PROPERTY. HE THINKS HE OWNS THIS TOWN. TIME TO SHOW DALY THAT WE OWN HIM. AS WE DO ALL POLITICIANS...

PEOPLE ARE BUYING THE PUBLIC'S PROPERTY, BUT DALY THINKS THAT IT IS HIS... The city has already been shown to be losing money on the deal with the parking meters -- they could have been sold for a lot more, but Daly wanted to keep the issue from being discussed by anyone before he shoved it down our throats. If he was serving the Public, he would have wanted a discussion of what he was doing, so he could get the best intelligence possible together to make a decision.

That kind of logical, round table logic bounces off dictators. Daly is as close to a king as this country has seen. Runs Chicago like a fiefdom. Since this is a Democratic terroritory in the states, his power base has proven vital in national politics. His power is our power, we think... if he is a little corrupt, oh well... he inherited that mess and had to deal with it best he could.

We forget that we pay for his standing army. Pay in getting officials in city positions that they are not qualified for. Pay in losing the representation that would be ours if the Alderman were not afraid to piss off Daly. We need a Mayor who you can hate or love without fear that you will not get what you want from the city unless you go along with da king.

that more than 1500 individuals have been convicted of myriad forms of public

corruption since 1970. Based upon the testimony before the Illinois Reform Commission

and our own research, we now believe that the cost of corruption, or “corruption tax,” for

the Chicago and Illinois taxpayer is at least $500 million a year. This is based upon

testimony before the commission that about 5% of state government contracts are given

out to political cronies and campaign contributors and on our own tallies of the costs of

the major scandals over the last four decades.

In our last report we provided a detailed analysis of the 30 aldermen and former

aldermen convicted of public corruption since 1970. In this report we describe some of

the major scandals of the last four decades, a timeline of more than 375 convicted

individuals at all levels of government, and a further analysis of some of the costs of

corruption which have caused us to revise our estimate of the corruption tax. The details

of these scandals and their costs are included in the appendices of this report.

Our research on all aspects of corruption is continuing. But we provide this

update to support the report of the Illinois Reform Commission and to contribute to the

ongoing debate in the state legislature. Only comprehensive reforms can lessen the level

of corruption in Chicago and Illinois, currently the capitals of corruption in the United

States.

Given the high cost of corruption, we cannot hope to adopt a prudent city, county,

or state budget without reform. Otherwise we will continue to pay too much for

government services; we will keep honest businesses from locating here; and we will

slow economic recovery from the current recession. Citizens will continue to distrust

I just discovered that someone took a post down from this blog. One that was critical of Mayor Daly. The first of two I wrote just before my computer mysteriously could no longer access my internet account. When I called to tell Comcast the problem, they snottily told me that the problem was with my computer, and not theirs. Nothing showed that to be true on my end. I was suspicious at the timing, since I have been knocked off line before by the government and the other forces that oppose me. After writing this critical article, I saw people protesting downtown that Daly needed to be removed, and the two newspapers in town started a clean government campaign.

I forget sometimes that my words are so potent. They make an enemy of me at their own peril. The Daly administration is now on my list of entractable powers that need to be kicked the hell out of politics.

I do not care how strong they think they are... a simple, unending litany of the sins of this administration should be enough to drive the king con out of power.

The audacity of these people is matched only by their short sightedness; this is a system of law we live in that despite its faults, is ever-evolving. And we are evolving toward fairness -- the more people who demand it, the sooner it happens. The inter-net generation is not going to fall for the usual scams, simply because they will access to a diverse set of opinions to take their own from.

And people will look for other people to treat them fairly, and will act adversly to those who do not. Daly has set about launching a hell of a lot of unfair agreements with developers and god knows who else -- the most recent being the selling off of the parking meters in Chicago to an inside group for a huge discount that would not have survived being played out in the free market. He hid what he was doing until the lastt minute, then shoved it through.

He needs secrecy to survive. He can blow off all the reporters he wants at press conferences, but he cannot so easily blow off the voters.

The Democrats have to be ready to replace him with someone who is nationally known, and respected. Jessie or Johnathon Jackson should take a stab at the fat round baffoon. Sooner or later, someone is going to knock him out of power.., and since he has decided to fight me, you should expect this to be sooner rather than later.

Cleaning up the world has been my concern. Now I AM ready to put a razor focus on this Criminal. He rose from a family that bestows rights without qualifications. Think about that. Chicago politics, for most of their existence, have been run by people who looked at their core constituents as people who they had bought with jobs. You do not necessarily get the best people when any chump off the street who likes to take the easy way out is hired. This is part of why they are always ending up in jail.

Daly wants to come on my site and take down my criticism of him, ... that is a drum roll from their side that we at war. WITH A HEAVY HEART, I HAVE GATHERED MY WEAPONS FOR WAR AND RODE OUT TO MEET THE ONE WHO OPPRESSORS MYPEOPLE.

I am always sad to see someone is my enemy, though I knew as much when he double dealed with the cops on their raise. Chicago cops have a hellish job at times. They have made a lot of mistakes, as humans do, but like soldiers, they deserve every forgiveness for cracking under the pressure of protecting the public -- that is a natural reaction to having to do shit people would otherwise prefer to avoid all to hell. I do not want to romanticize cops. TV does that enough. Still, they deserve some respect for putting their lives on the line to protect society from predators. I am not saying they should be let off for crimes -- indeed, they should prosecuted to the full extent off the law, because part of your oath as a cop is to the law. When they break the law, they are no longer a cop. They may have the badge, etc... but then they are just another enemy of the people. Like Burge.

Torture is in right now in the highest rooms of this country, and in a lot of countries getting beat up by the cops and tortured into a confession is routine. I can understand the impulse. I also know that I would never give in to it. I have left JOBS where they asked me tell lies -- because I will lie for my own purposes, like everyone does, but when I am asked to lie for someone else, I am entering a conspiracy to protect another from what is obviously going to be criminal behavior, and that is uncompatible with most of my ethics (God knows I break unfair laws, but stealing from people, etc... is beyond my moral understanding -- I could not live with myself when I am acting immoral. My depressive side takes over. This is why I gave up the drinking.).

I need people like cops more than I need a Daly. I have a vast capacity to rally people, unprecedented in human history... which is exactly what has been prepared for the RETURN OF CHRIST. Like the people who immediatly left office when I wrote a poem about how the mighty will fall before this Christ.... Daly would be better off planning on getting out at his next attempt at re-election, though I suspect he is like Cheney, and will defy the people's rights to a choice in what their politicians do until the very end... when he learns that the people usually get what they want in the end, simply because there are more of them and time and society tend to work like that, or there never would have been such a thing as Democracy, and the entire world would by now be run by one king, who if he were a Hitler, would gas his enemies. Or a Cheney, who would send out his hit squad.

Daly is the face on a vast conspiracy of crime that has invaded politics and found a welcome home in a club that only the vastly wealthy or influential can even enter. Politics in this city has become a means of passing along a corrupt dynasty. We should be better people than this... we can be. The choice truly is ours, not Daly's..

During the radio show, they were always trying to get me to go to billboards and such on line. At one point, after just a couple weeks on the air and running my total war for total peace campaign, I was hospitalized. The medication they gave me reacted with my tramadol, or by it's self... I am not sure... and caused me to go manic. During the two weeks I was gone, Jimmy Peace told me that people thought I had been killed for my beliefs. I was astounded that this thought had even entered anyone's mind. I was still naive about what the government was throwing at me to stop me from radicalizing the youth of the states. The people who were listening knew better. They realized what a gamble I was taking.

When I did understand the extent of their interferance in my life.... I became intent on defying them in any way possible. I have a definate -- you fuck with me, I will do everything in my power to give as good as I get. And I owe a lot of people a good kick in the fucking balls. Starting with Bush and Cheney. I am not a peace-nik on the surface, but underneath my pragmatic violence, is an innocent longing for peace. I believe that certain people will not respond to reason, period. They will do anything they can to get their way, including crime and violence. The only way to respond to people like that is with crime and violence... that is, unless the courts actually come through and charge THIS GOVERNMENT'S CRIMINALS... WHO THE FUCK DO THESE POLITICIANS -- INCLUDING OBAMA == THINK THEY FUCKING ARE.... THEY CANNOT DENY US JUSTICE ON SOME FUCKING WHIM.

I do NOT TRUST OBAMA. IF HE IS AN HONEST POLITICIAN, HE WILL WIN OUR VOTE WITH REASON, NOT TRUST..... He is going to need to be pressured to act. The neo cons are putting all kinds of pressure on him to act certain ways, and the liberals have to be just as persistent in their pressure. We are larger than they are, much more powerful, and able to pull together an alleigence of anyone who wants justice, which in the states is most everyone except criminals and politicians (as far as allowing Cheney to get off for that death squad he was running... the man should be tried and executed for such an action. He is not a soldier. He is a coward, a bully who loves having power to weild. A sickening, sleazy man who would have ever only entered the white house on the coatails of some pretty boy cheerleader who appealed to the big wallets... some smug bastard who wouldn't even know he was their chump..... from a famous family... even a drunk. And we got Bush.

I care less about what Bush did, then I do about Cheney. If the armed forces and the intelligence agencies find a target, then they should take them out. However, this man circumvented all of the checks and balances built into the intelligence community....

We are talking about people who do dastardly deeds around the globe to keep their political stance -- pro business, basically, safe around the globe. People who have run death squads inthe past... and Cheney was too sleazy to think they would approve of his dark plans.

History is going to eviscerate these men, and they will be vilied in text books across the globe for the shit they have done. Bush and Cheney will take their place alongside the torturers and murderers, along with Reagen, at least. They have nothing another person would call honor.

I am pain in that campaign, the one who will threaten violoence.... or better yet, see it coming and know I cannot stop such rage. This is why I always deligate as much authority as I can.

How can this country expect to just function, when we know that the ex vice president had his own hit squad, hunting down only god knows who, without having to answer to anyone. Cheney's background in Haliburton shows that he knows about private armies, who to hire to take out which target. As citizens of the republic who he represented, we are as guilty as he is, unless action is taken to show the american people, and the world, that we truly can change from the object of their hatred to an ally.

Obama has a lot of his plate. I can understand his impulse toward letting sleeping dogs lay, but if we ever want to have a peaceful, just society, we cannot let anyone get away with murder.

That is what he did. Premeditated murder. We have an army for that. We do not need another private army to do the whims of the presidency outside of the law. What is the law if the man closest to being president can get away with something that anyone else would be reviled and jailed for doing.

This criminal behavior, which I keep writing Cheney on, because I believe he is as culpable as Bush. Now, he is out there in the news trying to be the voice of the Republicans. Ha.. america is awake to their scam, and no one who makes a million will vote for them soon enough, and that will pretty much make our two party system my dream -- green and democrat. The people of america have seen how thier trickle down economy works only for the chosen few at the top. No one wants to listen anymore to their wild rhetoric. And that is what they have become.

Their time of having the market make all the decisions is over. People are much more than the sum of what they are worth monetarily. The scam of the eighties that promoted how everyone should get rich, and the lust in most everyone to make a lot of money, raised people with millions or billions up as guru's... The american dream. Now, with wall street suddenly imploding, and accidently exposing the madoff's, and the tricks of stock brokers to manipulate the market. These stock market fucks have taken like 40 percent of the wealth that was stolen from the working classes during the same time. Their wealth has risen that much under the consertives... amazing.

No one is allowed to do such shit. Period. No one. We are not talking about someone who was in the military; he did not kill in combat. He sent assasins out all over the globe, playing judge, jury and executioner. THE STATES HAVE TO BE ABOUT CONTROLLING OUR LEADERSHIP. Checks and balances.

Cheney is know going around telling the media his defense, basically. His smarmy, pissed off manner shows you just how psychotic this fuck is. He doesn't yet understand that the shift away from Republican neo-con's is permanent. They were a form of trickle down scammers, who were quite happy representing, and taking care of, the forces that backed them and keeps them in power -- the river of money that is spent to protect the interests of business from being effected too much by legislation.

The Reagen scam of trickle down was such a joke. He broke the unions, paving the way toward a society without health insurance, or adequate retirement benefits, by stripping them of the one thing a collective bargainer needs -- the ability to not be fired for trying to start a union. My god, people should be able to vote in a union if they need one. This is too socialized for some people, but we would all be better off if we belonged to strong, collective unions that could stand up for us. Reagen stole from the poor to support the rich. A stupid, empty headed actor with a political bent that started liberal, then became conservative when the Orange County Millionaire's decided to run him for governor. He balanced the budget by cutting out the arts from the high schools.. an artist, of sorts, did this... rather than raise taxes on the pack of millionaires that put him in power.

Cheney is one the last of the Reagenites. They slaughtered people in south america, the middle east, and almost certainly here in the states. Murderers. We can pretend they were otherwise, but there is no way that death squads, in south america and whereever Cheney sent his mercenaries, can be defined as proper military engagements. And even if we can, the vice president has no right to act in our name by sending out hit squads. America is suffereing because of our two wars, which both can be traced back to the cabal of ideas that the repulicans bought from about 1980 on. A cult of personality built up around Reagen, the simpleton who could give speaches that were,indeed, mesmerizing. I knew he was lying and still, I would get sucked into his little dream.... I wished he was a good man. Oh, well.

I guess opening the can of worms of prosecuting the Bush Regime, has to done in such a way that the people they orderd around are not held responsible for their actions. If the president of the united states is ordering torture, and the vice president sending out death squads, you are talking about a military culture that can only be blamed on its leaders, not the soldiers in the fields. The CIA acted in ways they always have, but they are nothing except the presidents private army. I do not blame anyone for making the decision that they will go along with sick policies. These Operatives should be left alone, as should the soldiers who manned our torture house in Guantameno.

I have faith in the mission of the CIA, as I understand it. This is no time to mess up their anti-terrorism efforts with a witch hunt. I think they should get immunity for testifying against their superiors. We need to show the world, and ourselves, that certain things will not be tolerated by elected officials, and one of them is running a death squad.

As someone who has written shit like 'we will kill and kill and kill until all villages are safe for all children,' I obviously am no paficist. I think the mentality of the Taliban is an enemy, let alone what their terrorist tactics. I would like to see them sent home defeated, but still with their dignity. Giving them no reason to fight. Make them want to be at peace with us. One way of doing this is spreading good will. Think what the middle east will experience when they hear that we are going to prosecute the vice president for sending death squads after their citizens. Let them know that we as a people do not condon, in any way, when a semi-elected official takes on the persona of serial killer.

I also think Bush should at least be forced to tell the truth about what he did. A truth commission should get him on the hotseat. Anyone who thinks, like Obama says sometimes, that we can 'just move on' and think 'ahead instead of behind,' is ignoring the wisdom of the statement that you must know history not to repeat it. If these crimes are ignored, it will just lead to a more discontented society. A lot of us have watched these crimals for over twenty five years, seen them stealing all of the hard won rights of the unions in the forties, fought out here in the mid-west. A period of socializing some of america was underway back then... and here we are again, now in 2009, finally starting to realize that for the good of the people, we should socialize some things -- indeed, since we already have successfully run socialized programs now, this is nothing new. This country has been hijacked, basically, by the wealthy.

During this time, when liberalism is celebrating the great victory of Obama, we see the democratization of our country coming back. We will always be a conglomerate of socialized works, and private businesses; but, to throw out socialist ideas just because they come from a political system that you do not agree with, belies the truth that a fact is a fact is a fact.

The insurance companies are once again fighting universal health care. They are exactly the kind of industry that does not care what is better for people. They are looking at their bottom line. Again, the science is there -- socialized, single payer insurance, bought by our tax dollars, would save a lot of lives. People need a lot more doctor visits than they take; skimp on simple tests, medications, etc. Anyone who has seen Michael Moore's Sicko knows that Canada has a much better system than we do. You hear all the conservative aruements against socialized medicene slaughtered in that Documentary. God Bless Mr. Moore, his work is some of the greatest social commentary.

I would love to see Moore do a documentary about Cheney and the death squads. This is a big story that needs a lot more press. He needs to be asked about this shit over and over, but the tv reporters just sit there and nicely ask him about the terrorists, or whatever. Here is a man who was running death squads, so maybe they are just too pissing in the pants terrorified of the demonic looking fuck wad.

He went too far, people, and letting him off the hook for this makes his behavior acceptable.

the evolution of a revolt

Revolt is such an overused word. We see the word used advertising the latest gadget for our tecno-head, whatever fashionable change to the status quo that is just then being elevated for worship. In my way of mind, the best revolt exposes. Simple exposure would go a long way in this world of ours. People will become increasingly aware of how their government in times of economic distress. The new openness of the internet ( a phrase I use with a certain irony, because I know a lot of secrets that have never surfaced on any of the websights I have happened upon), is the chink in the armor that the vast majority of people can swarm through. There is no army on earth that can stop an uprising in the states. The revolt might take place in a voting booth, as it should in the best of times, and seemed like it might be with Obama coming in on the heels of the Nightmare Times under the Bush Cheney Cabal of Neo Nazi's.

In Illinois, there has been a recent flurry of legislators making out like they are reform just enough to woo the voters and pretend to be in action. I look at a lot of politicians like they are swindelers of a sort; when you hear about all the money they toss around in contracts, and who tends to make money off of a politicians legislating, you can trace who has their strings. This has always worried the average american -- we like to pretend that a vote is enough to change anything much. Or, we get like me, who is so hopelessly mired in the necessary evil frame of mind, where politicians are the ultimate puppets.

I was a lot happier when I could ignore politics, believe it was a game controlled by the fat cats and there was nothing a poor boy from Indiana was ever going to do about that. This came after loving politics for years like a mission, the way I would show my anger at the injustice around me, and fight for the people I love. When I was let down time and again by the people I worked with, or just out right defeated by larger forces (like the NRA who trounced our hand gun control initiative. Now I look at this world and am mostly baffled. I can see so many forces at work, everywhere... the various pockets of power throughout the globe. At the base of the problems is just an ape that is easily misled by himself and science, con men and lovers.

I hold out a hope that a change in rhetoric can have an impact of the material world. The feminist certainly believe this and have plenty of theories I enjoy. I think they over-estimate the push and pull of words and genetics, being an advocate for the sociobiological view of humanity as a clever ape.

Now that I have a new computer and a wi fi modem, I really feel like I am ready to do a lot more writing in the blogs. I have been writing, mind you, and have about fifty or more pages of this and that to put in the blog some ambitious day in the future...

I am anxious to get back to some story telling that is outside of my books. I miss writing comedy, and have a number of ideas...

I am back...

After a few months off working on the books, mopping around, and in general doing way too little... I am finally back and in full writing mode.

I have a lot of writing done that needs to be put up, etc... And a lot of ideas on ways to take the blog here and there. For one, I have a webcam now, and mic and camera and all the shit I have wanted forever, so now you will be seeing me reading my favorite comedy, etc....

Salon writing about the pope ignoring some bishop's nazi nature as a secular belief. Whether or not you are going to accept an atrocity like this says a lot about you. Either you are too stupid to take in the evidence, or to prejudiced to take in the evidence. In this case, the Catholic church of course, stupid in both ways.

I told you, in the Jesus Blog, that as long as I am on earth, I am the pope. He is the small fry. The one I came to ask to step down from his golden throne, to stop worshiping the golden cows of wealth and fame. HE ran right out and sold the jewelry to help the poor, obviously. Good works and good words and good love to all the Catholics who might as well call themselves protestants, because they no longer take the pope very seriously. He is the grand poo ba, a superstar, no different than Bono.

Jan. 29, 2009 | OK, Bill Donohue, just get the inevitable over with and call me anti-Catholic. Once again a pope has decided that enhancing the authority of the Vatican justifies turning a blind eye to vicious anti-Semitism, and I'm saying it's one more example of a long-standing and unresolved problem within the Catholic Church. It is not merely discouraging or problematic that Pope Benedict XVI is making nice with a Holocaust denier, or mending fences with a splinter group of ultraconservative anti-Semites, it is sick and evil. No matter how often the church issues statements condemning anti-Semitism, or holds papal concerts to commemorate the Holocaust, or says no, the Jews didn't kill Christ, the Vatican always seems caught off-guard and surprised that some people think it has a Jewish problem.

Johnny sits idled at the moment... Obama, a liberal, winning the presidency, with all these Republicans backing him and everything, is making my usual targets a little less black and white. Normally I could just go down to the stock exchange and snipe out a few master of the universe types whenever my trigger got a little too itchy.... now, it is practically doing them a favor. Let them live with the loss of their largess.

OBAMA MUST PROSECUTE BUSH, CHENEY AND ROVE

I have been an Obama supporter since long before he announced his candidacy, and I feel, like most American's (and indeed, countries accross the world), that we finally have a president who will all americans as his constituents, and not just a rich few who finance their campaigns. He could be the greatest president we have ever had, easily.

However, if he allows the past lessons of the Bush administration to stand unchallanged, he is missing a great opportunity to get to the heart of the Neo Con problem. THey will rise again unless their sins are confronted in court.




The american people deserve no less of a president. If he is going to be the law, than let him be the LAW... not just another poltician who does what is convienant.

I like most of his picks, but that Naval officer who aided in the civilian slaughters in Indonesia was a very odd pick. Obama had written about this incident in the past, and lived in Indonesia once. By choosing a man who openly backed the slaughter of dissidents, we have taken a mighty step backwards.

Pot is the other thing. This man would not be president if he had been busted as a teen for weed (which with racial profiling what it is now in this city, he probably would have been).

Obama has to do more than talk about hope... then ignore all the people who put him in power. Bloggers and artists put this man in power. He should know that well. Turning his back on us now would be a grave mistake, lead more and more people who were onced pumped to help the world sickened once more by the ways of Washington.
